# Role-Reversal Retreats The Chuan Spa Proposal Package Lets Women Propose to Men By Meghan Young | Published 2012-01-29 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chuan-spa-proposal-package References: [psfk](http://www.psfk.com/2012/01/marriage-proposa-spa.html) & [chuanspa.hk](http://www.chuanspa.com.hk/en/HongKong/treatment_packages.htm) Although it is mainly a Western concept, the Chuan Spa proposal package embraces the leap year tradition that allows women to propose to their significant others. The retreat, which is based in Hong Kong, offers luxurious treatments and a romantic ambiance to provide the perfect setting for the role-reversed proposal. Since such proposals are still uncommon and can be very nerve-racking, women are helped through the process with the Chuan Spa proposal package. It all begins with a chauffeured ride to the resort. From there they are taken to a charming treatment room where they receive two and a half hours of massages, facials and Jacuzzi time. After that, they are ushered to the Contemplation Corner for champagne and then to the rooftop for the proposal. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Romance](https://www.trendhunter.com/romance) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Role-reversal Proposals:** Opportunity for businesses to create unique experiences and services catering to women proposing to men. - **Luxury Retreats:** Increasing demand for high-end retreats and experiences as a way to celebrate special occasions. - **Unconventional Traditions:** Exploring and embracing non-traditional customs and rituals in celebrations and relationships. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Spa and Wellness:** Spas can develop specialized proposal packages that provide luxury treatments and a romantic setting to cater to role-reversal proposals. - **Hospitality and Events:** Hotels and resorts can offer tailored experiences and packages for role-reversal proposals, targeting couples looking for unique and memorable engagement moments. - **Customized Experiences:** Businesses can create personalized services and experiences that support and assist individuals in planning and executing role-reversal proposals. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Romantic Stay Packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hari-hong-kong.md) - [Love-Themed Hotel Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweethearts-retreat.md) - [Luxe Valentine's Day Offers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louix-louis.md) - [Women-Targeted Cannabis Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cannabis-retreat.md) - [Martini-Themed Spa Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porn-spa-martini-experience.md) - [Iconically Located Wedding Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/times-square-this-valentines.md) - [Romance-Inspired Hotel Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valentines-rendezvous.md) - [Seasonal Branded Spa Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seasonal-wellness-package.md) - [Pet-Inspired Proposal Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engaged-couples.md)
