# Exaggerated Angular Interiors The Chongqing Mountain and City Sales Office Resembles a Cave By Jana Pijak | Published 2012-04-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chongqing-mountain-and-city-sales-office References: [frameweb](http://www.frameweb.com/news/chongqing-mountain--city-sales-office) & [knstrct](http://knstrct.com/2012/03/19/mountain-city-sales-office-china/) Chongqing Mountain and City Sales Office by One Plus Partnership Limited is located in Chongquing, China. Serving as the corporate space for a real estate company, this bold interior features an exaggeration of angular design elements. This cave-like space, which was inspired by local geography, resembles the mountainous region surrounding it. Paired with sharp angles, a series of hanging LED lights is meant to resemble the effect of falling rain. This office is unlike any traditional corporate environment due to its triangular accents and cave-like stairwells. Showcased in a palette of grey mirror, marble, glass, stone, Corian, stainless steel and wallpaper materials, this space is a modern interpretation of nature. The Chongqing Mountain and City Sales Office by One Plus Partnership Limited has striking design elements, making it outer-worldly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Exaggerated Angular Interiors:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate bold angular design elements in commercial spaces. - **Local Geography-inspired Spaces:** Real estate developers can create unique office environments by incorporating design elements inspired by the surrounding geographical features. - **Nature-inspired Modern Interiors:** Designers can explore the integration of natural elements in contemporary office designs, creating a harmonious connection to the environment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage exaggerated angular design elements to create visually striking and unique commercial spaces. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can differentiate their projects by incorporating design elements inspired by the local geography, creating a strong sense of place. - **Office Design:** Designers specializing in office spaces can explore the integration of natural materials and design elements to create modern and visually appealing work environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Illuminated Cave-Like Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/javier-senosiain-arquitectos.md) - [Water-Inspired Sales Building](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cifi-group.md) - [Cave-Like Retail Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-interior.md) - [Geometric Cave-Like Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cavelike-homes.md) - [Cave-Style Coastal Viewpoints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-insight-cave-space.md) - [Vibrant Multi-Level Office Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gensler.md) - [Stone-Like Discreet Glass Viewpoints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drifting-stones.md) - [Valley-Inspired Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitaoka-group-office.md) - [Biophilic Workplace Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mangrove-garden.md)
