Made with bamboo, the dock can be rotated in portrait or landscape view depending on the user's preference. While most docks weave the cords underneath the stand to eliminate any excess clutter on top of the desk, the Chisel 5 iPhone dock is specially engraved with an S-shaped path to secure the wire on the surface, which in turn eliminates any accidental tugging, which usually results in a personal injury, a broken charger or a potentially destroyed phone. Compatible with the [iPhones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-curve-nano) and most iPods, the smartphone stand by iSkelter is a polished gift to give the minimalistic eco-conscious friends and family members. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Eco-friendly Smartphone Accessories:** Creating smartphone accessories with eco-friendly materials and designs, such as the Chisel 5 iPhone dock, to appeal to conscious consumers. - **Wire Management Technology:** Developing innovative wire management technology, like the S-shaped path on the Chisel 5 iPhone dock, to prevent accidents and damage to devices. - **Sustainable Materials for Technology Products:** Using sustainable materials, like bamboo, to create technology products that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Innovating within the consumer electronics industry to design and manufacture eco-friendly technology products. - **Sustainable Design:** Utilizing sustainable design principles and materials when creating new technology products. - **Gifts & Home Decor:** Offering eco-friendly smartphone accessories, like the Chisel 5 iPhone dock, as unique and thoughtful gifts for eco-conscious individuals, expanding the market for sustainable gifts and home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Timber Clamp-Equipped Smartphone Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-desk-shelf-mount.md) - [Shifting Orientation Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-stand-charger.md) - [Cement-Made Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artifox-monument.md) - [Floating Monitor-Mounted Tech Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/line-linestand.md) - [Timber Technology Power Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-charging-station.md) - [Timber Smartwatch Charging Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charging-apple-watch-stand.md) - [Contemporary Magnetic Device Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magsafe-charger-stand.md) - [Retro Computer Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elago-m4-charging-stand.md) - [Eco-Friendly Desk Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hombi.md)
