With [more than 20 functions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orioners-z3), this [multitasking instrument](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roxon-flex-titan) can be used for cooking, cutting, killing, and so much more. For a wayfaring soldier or seriously minimal handyman, a Chinese Military Shovel replaces a pick, a spade, an axe, a hammer, a crowbar, a saw, a knife, a can and bottle opener, a ruler, a basket, wire cutters, an anchor, an oar, a grapple, a shield, and I'd imagine a pretty nasty weapon all in one. Capable of [folding and completely shape-shifting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hatchblade) for the desired endeavor, a Chinese Military Shovel is even available in several colors. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multifunctional Tools:** The concept of combining multiple functionalities in a single tool creates opportunities to disrupt traditional tool industries and cater to more versatile user needs. - **Military-inspired Products:** The trend of incorporating military-inspired designs and features in everyday products creates opportunities for innovation in various industries such as fashion, technology, and automotive. - **Shapeshifting Tools:** The innovation of creating tools that can easily transform and adapt to different situations creates opportunities for disrupting traditional tool categories and catering to flexible user needs. ### Where This Applies - **Tool Industry:** The emergence of multifunctional and shapeshifting tools creates opportunities to disrupt and innovate traditional tool categories such as spades, saws, and knives. - **Military Industry:** The trend of incorporating military-inspired designs and features in everyday products creates opportunities for innovation in industries such as fashion, technology, and automotive inspired by military gear and functionality. - **Outdoor and Survival Gear Industry:** The concept of multifunctional tools that can be used for cooking, cutting, and survival creates opportunities for innovation in the outdoor and survival gear industry, catering to a versatile and active customer base. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Budget-Friendly Outdoor Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-multitool.md) - [Durable Outdoor Camping Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-camping-multitool.md) - [Hyper-Tough Titanium Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smith-blade.md) - [Camper Multitool Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombinator-survival-hatchet.md) - [Multipurpose Camper Axes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allinone-transforming-forest-axe.md) - [Adaptable Overlander Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heavyduty-multitool.md) - [Compact Camping Multi-Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gerber-stake-out.md) - [Wilderness Exploration Multitools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gerber-gear-stake-out.md) - [Ultra-Versatile Multi-Tool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multitool-design.md)
