The Chifruda Armchair by 82-year-old designer Sergio Rodrigues was originally designed in 1962. To celebrate Rodrigues' birthday New York gallery Espasso has produced a limited quantity (40) of these unique chairs.

The original Chifruda Armchair was made from [jacaranda wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pere-chair) and appeared only as a prototype, meaning this limited edition run of the Chifruda Armchair will be the only chairs of this kind ever produced. The imposing chair is made in Brazil and is created from [leather and imbuia or freijo wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedia-tonda). The flamboyant headrest sweeps across a 41 inch expanse
