# Cop Car Chicken Coops Benedetto Bufalino's Chicken Coop Car is a Strange Home for Fowls By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2013-12-03 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chicken-coop References: [froot.nl](http://www.froot.nl/posttype/froot/politieauto-uit-jaren-80-wordt-kippenren/) & [benedetto.new.fr](http://benedetto.new.fr/) This bizarre chicken coop car is a creation from French artist Benedetto Bufalino that turns an ordinary police vehicle into an unusual home for chickens. The interior of ‘La Voiture de Police Poulailler’ (Police Car Coop) has been gutted and replaced with an oriented strand board floor for the chickens to stand on. The roof, trunk and one of the doors of the police car have been popped open and closed off with chicken wire to create more space for the chickens to roam inside the vehicle. The outside of the [police car remains intact](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Porsche-911-carrera), which is part of what makes this chicken coop so bizarre. The car is an interesting way to [upcycle an old vehicle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-capsule-1) and make a truly unique and fully-functioning home to keep feathery fowls in. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Upcycled Animal Homes:** Creating unique homes for animals through the creative repurposing of everyday objects. - **Mobile Livestock Structures:** Designing portable and functional structures for raising and maintaining livestock in different environments. - **Eco-friendly Animal Housing:** Developing sustainable and innovative solutions for the housing and care of animals, while minimizing their environmental impact. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Agriculture:** The agricultural sector can benefit from innovative animal housing concepts that help in raising livestock more efficiently and cost-effectively. - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can create unique animal homes by repurposing everyday objects, breathing new life into non-traditional materials. - **Environmental Sustainability:** Companies focused on sustainable practices and materials can develop eco-friendly housing options for animals that minimize their carbon footprint and promote green living. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart-Designed Chicken Coops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartdesigned-chicken-coops.md) - [Mobile Chicken Coops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-range-coop.md) - [Smart Backyard Chicken Coops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-smart-coop.md) - [Traditional Japanese Chicken Coops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/niwatorigoya.md) - [Automated Coop Doors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/run-chicken-model-t50.md) - [Luxury Swan Art Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-swan-art-car.md) - [Eco Police Vehicle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/police-car-interior.md) - [Playful Art Character Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porsche-labubu-project.md) - [Cabin-Transformed Vintage Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1970-volkswagen-beetle.md)
