The light is achieved with a brass base and frame that is finished with a [frosted Murano glass diffuser](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lantern-collection) to help soften the illumination as it emanates from the internal LED. The illuminator has a [portable design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parcel-portable-lamp) that's achieved thanks to a [rechargeable functionality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fsl-wireless) that will easily add light to a desktop, outdoor area or any other space in a home. The Purho 'Chiara Lantern' highlights a simple yet elegant aesthetic that can also be customized with one of 21 color choices on the glass diffuser to further accentuate the personalized nature of the illuminator. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Portable LED Illumination:** There is an opportunity to develop highly-portable, rechargeable LED lights to meet growing demand for lighting solutions that can be used both indoors and outdoors. - **Customizable Lighting Designs:** There is an opportunity to innovate personalized lighting solutions that can be adapted to different spaces and preferences. - **Incorporating Nautical Design:** There is an opportunity to incorporate nautical design elements in modern industrial lighting solutions. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Innovative LED home lighting that can be used both indoor and outdoor is rapidly becoming popular in the home decor industry. - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Customizable LED lighting solutions are highly in demand in the architecture and interior design industry. - **Marine and Shipping:** Nautical-inspired LED lamps may dominate the marine and shipping industry because of their durability, portability, and waterproof characteristics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Lantern Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ambientec-madco.md) - [Stylish Outdoor Illumination Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-lantern.md) - [Outdoor Lantern Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-lantern-1.md) - [Flower-Like Portable Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tulit-led-lantern.md) - [Classic Cordless Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poldina-classic-lamp.md) - [Opulent Outdoor Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gubi-seine-portable-lamp.md) - [Whimsical Item-Holding Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightray.md) - [Lighthouse-Inspired Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mouro.md) - [Lantern-Inspired Soft Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fermob-lighting.md)
