Chey Chao is an artist and illustrator from Thailand who has taken Star Wars to a whole new level with his medieval manuscript interpretations of the popular [Star Wars characters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocacola-x-star-wars).

Chao surely found his inspiration for his latest work through European christian art that could be commonly seen in the medieval era. Pictured in the pieces are Darth Vader, Jar-Jar Binks, Luke Skywalker, R2D2, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbaca, C3PO, Anakin Skywalker and Yoda. Each scene is reminiscent of a popular scene from the [iconic sci-fi film](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-beyond-victory) -- with a medieval spin on it, of course.

It is refreshing to see someone taking Star Wars and remixing it into a completely different form.
