Designed by Jennifer Yoko Olson for Gaia and Gino, this conservational cover wraps around [chair or table legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secretlab-otto-adjustable-legrest) to protect them from the jaws of rambunctious puppies. The Chew Leg dog toy cover measures 2.6” x 11.3” x 3.9” so it’s suitable for most dining or office chairs, tables or desks. It comes in six vibrant colors. At $19.99 each, the covers are cheaper than obedience classes or replacing your furniture, but we suggest investing in the classes and the covers (just in case). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Pet Furniture Protection:** The rise of functional pet products like the Chew Leg dog toy cover provide opportunities for disruptive innovation in the pet industry to create more furniture protection solutions. - **Sustainable Pet Products:** Gaia and Gino's natural rubber Chew Leg dog toy cover aligns with the need for sustainable and eco-friendly pet products, enabling businesses to develop a range of eco-friendly pet products. - **Multi-purpose Pet Products:** The Chew Leg dog toy cover's ability to protect furniture while acting as a functional dog toy demonstrates the potential for multi-purpose pet products to disrupt industries like furniture and home goods. ### Where This Applies - **Pet Products:** The Chew Leg dog toy cover from Gaia and Gino exemplifies an opportunity for disruptive innovation with pet products designed to solve common problems such as furniture protection. - **Furniture:** The Chew Leg dog toy cover brings disruptive innovation opportunities to the furniture industry by addressing the common pet owner problem of furniture damage. - **Home Goods:** Functional pet products like the Chew Leg dog toy cover provide disruptive innovation opportunities in the home goods industry by addressing multiple use cases and incorporating sustainability. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Expert-Informed Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chew-toy1.md) - [Plant-Powered Dog Chews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honestchew.md) - [Mess-Free Canine Treat Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-treat-holder.md) - [Durable Minimalist Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-dog-bed.md) - [Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hound-lounge.md) - [Ergonomic Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earth-rated-dog-toy-collection.md) - [Dental Health Dog Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woof-bite-n-brush.md) - [Interactive Dog Feeder Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cono-activity-toy.md) - [Braided Canine Chews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canine-chew.md)
