# Literal Macho Furniture This Chest of Drawers Resembles a Buff Man's Chest By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo | Published 2013-11-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chest-of-drawers References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2013/11/12/literal-chest-of-drawers/) & [georgemccallumillustration](http://georgemccallumillustration.com/Chest-Of-Draws) This chest of drawers is a hilarious gift to get your girlfriends for Christmas whether they're single or not. This creatively designed clothes drawer was made by George McCallum and he took the term 'chest' literally. Instead of having boring yet sophisticated shelving to hold your belongings, this set of drawers is made to look like a man's buff chest. When the drawers are closed the ridges look like the chest has a six pack. To add even more humor to this piece [bedroom furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/endy-bedroom-collection), the two top drawers have knobs that resemble nipples. To make this chest of drawers as realistic as possible, the chest has a head and face on the top as well as [big, strong arms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wide-guy-door-pull) sticking out from either side. As humorous as this piece is, your boyfriend may not appreciate another 'man' in the bedroom. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Literal Macho Furniture:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Creating furniture designs that add humor and personality to living spaces. - **Creative Gift Ideas:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Developing unique and unexpected gift options that bring laughter and delight. - **Personalized Home Decor:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Designing customizable furniture pieces that reflect the individual's humor and style. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Incorporating playful and unconventional designs into furniture collections. - **Gift and Novelty Items:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Introducing humorous and unconventional gifts that stand out in the market. - **Interior Design Services:** Disruptive Innovation Opportunity: Offering personalized design solutions that integrate humor and personality into clients' spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Open-Space Furniture Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-box.md) - [Color-Centric Modular Drawers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floyd.md) - [Anthropomorphic Design Dining Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sideboard-dining-table.md) - [Maternal-Themed Sculptural Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mother-and-child.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Packed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/embrace-sideboard.md) - [Humorous Macabre Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffin-office-chair.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Travel Trunk-Inspired Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-cabinet-of-curiosities-by-marc-newson.md) - [Curvaceous Storage-Focused Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-night-stand.md)
