[OXO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/good-grips-salad-dressing-shaker) developed the Cherry Pitter for the nights where you really just can't bother with the seeds. The item looks like a glorified stapler, but really, all it wants to do is detach things. Simply load the fruit onto the base, push and now you've got a seedless cherry for you to eat! The kitchenware also has a splatter shield that directs juice downward so that you avoid the mess of juice spitting in all directions. Aside from [cherries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/private-selection-cherry-harvest), you can also use this for [olives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dress-drizz) or whatever food item you can fit this in. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **One-push Seed Removal:** The Cherry Pitter by OXO provides a simple and efficient way to remove seeds from fruits, opening up opportunities for similar one-push seed removal tools for other fruits. - **Mess-free Juice Extraction:** The Cherry Pitter's splatter shield that directs juice downward presents an opportunity for the development of other kitchen tools that extract juice without creating a mess. - **Versatile Fruit Pit Remover:** The adaptability of the Cherry Pitter to also remove pits from olives and other food items suggests a potential market for multi-purpose fruit pit removal devices. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Kitchenware:** The Cherry Pitter by OXO introduces a new innovation in the kitchenware industry with its one-push seed removal functionality. - **Fruit Processing:** The Cherry Pitter's ability to efficiently remove seeds from cherries opens up possibilities for improvements in the fruit processing industry, particularly for mass production. - **Juice Extraction:** The Cherry Pitter's splatter shield that directs juice downward presents an opportunity for innovation in the juice extraction industry, aiming for mess-free and efficient juice extraction. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Springy Safety-Focused Nutcrackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silicone-nutcracker.md) - [Convenient Garlic-Crushing Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garlic-rocket.md) - [Cherry Fruit Spreads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cherry-fruit-spreads.md) - [Vitamin-Packed Citrus Juicers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/citring-one.md) - [Avocado-Shaped Vegetable Cutters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avo-multifunction-veggie-cutter.md) - [Automated Countertop Nut Crackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pelamatic-electric-nut-cracker.md) - [Product Review Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cherrypicksreviews.md) - [Stainless Steel Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-kitchen-gadget.md) - [Modern Kitchen Sprouting Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sproutypod.md)
