[Holyrood Distillery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holyrood-distillery) launched two new heritage-informed spirits dubbed the Charmed Circle. The new beverages are categorized by the distiller as Strong Waters, an archaic term commonly used to refer to any alcoholic liquids that were not being set aside as 'aqua vitae'.

The Chared Circle varieties are a result of Holyrood's experimentation with [heritage barleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sophisticated-whisky-packaging).
