Despite being playful and spirited like most dogs, the canines in these photos are depicted as displaying the weight of their histories. Their limbs stand at attention as if they are military personnel, and their noses sniff and whiskers perk up as if to convey a state of permanent alertness. As the dogs grow visibly older, the passage of time makes itself felt on their features. Charlotte Dumas captured these incredibly loving and intelligent animals to catalog their heroic feats, and also to serve as a reminder of the tragic events of 9/11. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Animal Therapy:** The use of rescue dogs to provide therapy and support to individuals affected by trauma and tragedy. - **Canine Heroes:** Highlighting the bravery and resilience of rescue dogs in search and rescue missions. - **Photographic Tributes:** Documenting the stories and impact of animals through powerful and emotionally resonant photography. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Care and Training:** Exploring new techniques and programs to train rescue dogs for therapeutic purposes. - **Search and Rescue:** Adopting innovative technologies and training methods to enhance the capabilities of rescue dogs in emergency situations. - **Photography and Art:** Collaborating with photographers and artists to create impactful narratives that shed light on the impact of animals in society. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pet-Taken Camera Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heartography.md) - [Pet Disaster Plan Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-disaster-plan.md) - [Limited-Edition Pet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/working-dogs.md) - [Crash Test Dummy Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crash-test-dummy-dogs.md) - [Pet-Finding Billboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scented-billboards.md) - [Luxurious Canine-Celebrating Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/world-dog-day.md) - [Artful Doghouse Design Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-for-dogs-exhibition.md) - [AI-Enhanced Pet Adoption Photos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/personality-pics.md) - [Free Dog Adoption Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pedigree-for-dc-shelter.md)
