This hanger is a design object created using paper-thin sheets of wood that are layered and slotted together to form a functional garment hanger. The design was developed as part of a charity initiative, with the hanger produced as a limited object rather than a mass-market product. Its construction relies on precisely cut wooden veneers that interlock to create stiffness and strength once assembled.

The hanger’s profile is defined by flat planes rather than molded curves, giving it a lightweight appearance while remaining capable of supporting clothing. The wood sheets retain their natural grain, allowing the layered structure to remain visible and expressive of the material itself. No metal hooks or fasteners are used, with the hanger’s geometry providing both structure and hanging function. The design was created to demonstrate how minimal material use and simple fabrication techniques can produce a functional object with reduced waste.
