The [Salvation Army](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/public-support) accepts charitable donations of everything from toys to kitchenware, furniture and electronics, but most people seem to be stuck thinking that it only accepts clothing. In order to change this, the Artplan agency in Brazil developed the [Boxes for Goods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exboxes), which featured different cutout shapes on top to represent all of the types of items that can be donated.

The Boxes for Goods were set up in areas that would get a lot of foot traffic and the slight modification to the design of the [donor boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/look-good-feel-better-x-the-perfume-shop) was successful at increasing calls to the Salvation Army by 11%. Each box cost less than $30 to make, which goes to show that even a campaign as simple as this one can be powerful way for non-profits to reach out.
