# Minimalist Geometric Trolleys The New Chariot by GamFratesi Livens a Room & Amplifies Convenience By Jason Soy | Published 2012-05-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chariot-by-gamfratesi References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2012/05/09/chariot-by-gamfratesi-for-casamania/) & [gamfratesi](http://gamfratesi.com/) The new Chariot by [GamFratesi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koyori-wooden-chairs) is a convenient and eye-catching trolley inspired by the wagons of ancient civilizations. Coming in three varieties, red, white and wood grain, the Chariot acts as a [mini table with wheels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next-mobile-unit) that can be dragged around the household and used for storage, a place to eat your meals, as well as other functions. Following the chariot metaphor, since users must pull the furniture piece with their hands, I guess that likens them to horses, but I digress. When you break down the design, Chariot by GamFratesi is actually comprised of a few [basic geometric shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trama-collection), as demonstrated by a diagram included in this gallery. Circles, rectangles and triangles were all that were needed to piece together this contraption. It speaks of the Copenhagen designers’ ingenuity to craft something so simplistic yet functional. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Geometric Designs:** Opportunity for businesses to create streamlined and functional products using basic geometric shapes. - **Portable Furniture:** Disruptive innovation potential to develop furniture with wheels for easy mobility and multi-functional use. - **Ancient Civilization-inspired Design:** Opportunity to incorporate historical and cultural elements into modern product designs to increase appeal. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Innovations in minimalist geometric designs can revolutionize the furniture manufacturing industry. - **Interior Design:** Portable furniture can disrupt the interior design industry by offering versatile and adaptable solutions. - **Home Organization and Storage:** Integrating ancient civilization-inspired designs into home organization and storage solutions can create a unique market niche. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Circular Rolling Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rolly-bar-cart.md) - [Stylish Shopping Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roulette-carts.md) - [Contemporary Home Party Trolley](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-diner.md) - [Thoughtful Wheeling Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet-on-wheels.md) - [Connected Automotive Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volvo-lifestyler-trolley.md) - [Harbor-Inspired Storage Trolleys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harbor-051.md) - [Balanced Freestanding Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ratio-series.md) - [Artful Colorful Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jolly-trolley-1.md) - [All-in-One Timber Bar Carts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moba-drinks-trolley.md)
