The adapter creative redirects the prongs on the device so that the charger can lay flat to the wall, creating a much more space-saving design. This is ideal for charging devices behind furniture pieces or in tight spaces when bulky gadgets simply don't fit. The Blockhead is an innovative adapter that plugs into an existing [Apple](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-3in1-cube) tech product charger in the slot where the outlet prongs are found. The device redirects the prongs to face sideways so that the entire charging block is redirected, thus eliminating the protruding shape size. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Space-saving Chargers:** The trend of designing slim and flat chargers to take up less space and allow for greater flexibility in charging locations. - **Sideways Charging Adaptors:** The trend of creating charging adaptors with sideways prongs that allow for chargers to lay flat against walls or behind furniture. - **Charger Redirection:** The trend of finding innovative ways to redirect charging blocks to reduce the space they take up. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronics industry can create slim, flat and versatile charging systems with the increasing trend of space-saving technology. - **Furniture:** Furniture industry can incorporate charging systems with creatively designed chargers that redirect to take up less space, accommodates larger gadgets and enhancing design options. - **Home Decor:** Home decor industry can showcase and market charging systems with innovative space-saving charging adapters with alternative design options to existing bulky chargers, that can blend in with their home décor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stackable Blocky Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bang-design.md) - [Sleek Compact Minimal Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-charger.md) - [Space-Saving Technology Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-65w-slim-power-adapter.md) - [Cubic Mobile Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-3in1-cube.md) - [Modular Charging Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candysign-2-in-1.md) - [Power Station Outlet Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-powerextend-usbc-plug.md) - [Outlet Transformed Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powerbug.md) - [Anti-Slip Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anker-prime-charger.md) - [Outlet-Mounted Wireless Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charging-adapter.md)
