Honey is the founder of Sweet Station, a popular blog that exhibits works of designers, [illustrators and other types of artists](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-vonholten)’ works. As an explanation of her drawings, she points out that Gollum is one of the most intriguing characters in the Lord of the Ring’s series for her, which I am in complete agreement with. Gollum is a character that is defined by the idea of obsession and underlies a lot of the mental illness symptoms when taken at a basic level. Honey also shares an interesting fact about how “a psychiatrist and a group of medical students in London have diagnosed Gollum, with schizoid personality disorder” which makes her character illustrations that much more interesting to engage with. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fantasy Character Illustrations:** As more and more people consume fantasy content, there is a growing trend for high-quality character illustrations. - **Mental Health Representation in Art:** Artists addressing mental health symptoms and disorders through their work is on the rise, creating an opportunity for socially impactful art. - **Art Blogging:** Blogging about art is becoming increasingly popular and showcases the opportunities for artists and designers to grow their audiences and engage with their fans online. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Entertainment:** As more people engage with fantasy content, there is an opportunity for entertainment companies to commission high-quality character illustrations to enhance their content. - **Mental Health:** Artists who address mental health through their work open the door for mental health organizations to collaborate and showcase their art as a form of alternative therapy or outreach. - **Digital Marketing:** With the growing popularity of art blogging, there is a need for brand development and social media marketing professionals to help artists and designers build their online audience and engagement. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Personality-Based Art Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soulgem.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Intricate Resin Hand-Painted Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snh003.md) - [Character Art-Infused Leather Bags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moynat-x-kasing.md) - [Imaginative Character Universe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zofriends.md) - [Enchanting Classic-Animation-Inspired Jewelry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girls-crew.md) - [Anime Horror-Style Reimaginations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/junji-ito-artwork.md) - [Visually Morphing Muses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glitchy-bitches.md)
