Since the building is located in Beijing, the designers wanted to create a structure that would mimic nature instead of take away from it. Many architectural designs that go up in a city are simply concrete blocks, but the building at Chaoyang Park Plaza is different. [Located next to a lake](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lake-house-life-experience-pavilion), the design is formed with inspiration from [traditional Chinese paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chinese-paper-umbrella), while also attempting to forge the way for [futuristic forms of architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leaves). The Chaoyang Park Plaza defies traditional construction methods and successfully takes cues from the natural landscape around Beijing.
