The Iris Bowl is such a dish with an innovative [twistable lid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elio) that can be turned to open and close off the contents. The design offers a helpful way to keep the items safely tucked inside and to prevent spilling. The Iris Bowl utilizes [triangle panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kiir) to create a [retractable lid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eternos-serving-bowl) that is comprised of five identical triangular panels that slide together to become a closed lid and open to form petals around the lip of the bowl. A simple twisting action opens and closes the bowl which is deep enough to be filled with change, office supplies and more. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 16% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Retractable Aperture Containers:** The trend of designing containers with retractable lids provides a convenient and secure way to store small items. - **Innovative Twistable Lids:** The trend of utilizing twistable lids on containers offers a functional and easy-to-use solution for keeping items securely stored. - **Triangle Panel Designs:** The trend of using triangle panels in design enables the creation of versatile and aesthetically pleasing lids for containers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Organization:** The home organization industry can benefit from the innovation of retractable aperture containers by providing customers with functional and stylish storage solutions. - **Office Supplies:** The office supplies industry can explore the use of innovative twistable lids to enhance the storage and organization of small office essentials. - **Home Décor:** The home décor industry can incorporate triangle panel designs into their products to offer customers unique and visually appealing storage options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Traditional Food Preservation Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-food-storage-container.md) - [Multi-Functional Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-food-container.md) - [Dynamic Colored Glass Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tip-top-glass.md) - [Display-Centric Dynamic Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circuit.md) - [Stackable Rotating Snack Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tapas-snack-sphere.md) - [Twistable Golf Ball Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attomax-golf-pouch.md) - [Disappearing Umbrella Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coilo.md) - [Transforming Umbrella Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/split-1.md) - [Button-Equipped Easy-Removal Lids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eeasy-lid.md)
