While Pre-Fall shows are currently in full swing, the Chanel show will surely be hard to beat (as it always is). Inspired by traditional Indian-wear, the models wore intricately beautiful headpieces that added a touch of whimsy to the already theatrical show. The runway show took place at the Grand Palais in Paris, where guests were served champagne, guava juice, tea, and miniature cakes and sandwiches. The Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection was influenced by the jewels, colors, and fabrics of India, and models sported funky dreadlock hairstyles and nose rings.
