The much anticipated Chanel Cruise 2010 show took place at sunset on a beach in Venice, Italy.

“Venice has a genuine dark and mysterious side to it that fascinated me. I really like the Italian spirit and the Venetian lifestyle,” said Karl Lagerfeld. “And let’s not forget that [Coco Chanel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunny-honey-protect) came back to Venice for 10 years.”

The models walked a boardwalk while fashion editors and VIP guests lounged on deck chairs with [Chanel beach towels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chanels-new-high-jewelry-collection) as souvenirs to take home.

The whole vibe screamed summer, from the sandy location to the [sailor and marine inspired pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voile-blanche).

The runway show featured models Lara Stone, Tatjana Patitz, Siri Tollerod, Heidi Mount, Liu Wen, Charlotte di Calypso, and Denisa Dvorakova among others.
