A clever marketing concept, these spiral drawings are so well drawn, they could be hung next to the originals and still look amazing. Based in Singapore, Chan Hwee Chong, who is both an art director and designer, is inspiring other artists to create their own fingerprint-like drawings. Although they look too good to be true, Chan Hwee Chong was actually filmed drawing 'The Girl with a Pearl Earring' for a commercial that accompanies the print ads. This clearly demonstrates that Chan Hwee Chong created these [masterpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masterpieces-ii) by himself, without the use of Photoshop. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Commercials](https://www.trendhunter.com/commercials) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Spiral Illustrations:** The rise of spiral illustrations as a unique and captivating art form presents opportunities for artists to explore new creative techniques. - **Precision Drawing:** The emphasis on precision and control in artwork opens up possibilities for companies to market their tools and materials that enable artists to achieve such levels of detail. - **Authenticity in Art:** The demand for genuine artistic creations without digital manipulation provides an opportunity for artists to showcase their talent and establish their credibility. ### Where This Applies - **Art Supplies:** The growing popularity of spiral illustrations creates a market for specialized art supplies and tools designed to facilitate the creation of intricate spiral artwork. - **Advertising and Marketing:** Advertising agencies can leverage the appeal of spiral illustrations to create visually striking campaigns that capture attention and communicate precision and creativity. - **Art Exhibitions and Galleries:** Art exhibitions and galleries can embrace the trend of spiral illustrations to attract visitors seeking unique and visually captivating art forms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Realistic Sketch-Reflective Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series.md) - [Intricate Watch Dial Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watch-dial.md) - [Illusion-Inspired Design Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ripples-collection.md) - [Striking Writing Tool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenith7-desk-pen.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Minimal Storage Tray Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiral-tray.md) - [Color-Blending Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felipe-pantone.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Paper Curvature Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-curves.md)
