# Chugging Champagne Glasses The Chambong is Designed to Shotgun the Luxurious Bubbly By M | Published 2015-10-08 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/champagne-glass References: [ohgizmo](http://www.ohgizmo.com/2015/10/07/the-chambong-is-a-shotgun-glass-for-champagne/) & [shopchambong](http://shopchambong.com/products/chambong?variant=1848074499) Most champagne glasses tend to be designed to emphasize the luxurious nature of the alcoholic beverage with a tall stem and fluke usually made from quality glass or crystal. However the Chambong glasses have another focus entirely in mind with a fluke design that allows the drinker to chug the champagne like they would a beer. This creative take subverts traditional high class notions surrounding champagne by turning it into a fun drinking game. Chambong is a curved champagne fluke that allows the drinker to chug their glass of bubbly as fast as they can. The glassware features a V-shaped design with the cup at the top that sharply tilts in the stem immediately flooding the drinker's mouth with the liquid forcing them to chug it in one go. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Fun Drinking Games:** The Chambong glass subverts traditional notions of high-class champagne consumption by transforming it into a fun drinking game. - **Disruptive Glassware Design:** The Chambong's V-shaped design and tilt mechanism disrupts the traditional structure of champagne glasses, enabling chugging. - **Alternative Champagne Consumption:** The Chambong introduces a new way to drink champagne by enabling fast chugging instead of sipping. ### Who This Affects Most - **Beverage:** The Chambong glass presents an opportunity for beverage companies to create new marketing campaigns and consumer experiences centered around novel drinking methods. - **Event Planning:** The Chambong could be a hit in the event planning industry as a unique and entertaining addition to parties, weddings, and other special occasions. - **Luxury Goods:** The Chambong offers luxury goods companies an opportunity to cater to a younger, edgier audience interested in unconventional and playful experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Break-Resistant Champagne Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/champagne-glasses1.md) - [Libation-Cooling Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diamas.md) - [Perfect Sound-Producing Drinkware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perfect-cheers.md) - [Dedicated Craft Cocktail Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-cocktail-glass.md) - [Space-Saving Wine Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-splitglass.md) - [Self-Measuring Cocktail Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-craft-hybrid-cocktail-glass.md) - [Five-Sided Unique Whiskey Glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unique-whiskey-glass.md) - [Hand-Blown Glassware Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handblown-glassware-collection.md) - [Collectible Glassware Charms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glassware-charms.md)
