# Translucent Marble Lighting The Chamber Light Combines Marble and Crystal for Quiet Sophistication By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-09-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chamber-light References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/09/18/chamber-light-by-lee-broom/) & [leebroom](http://www.leebroom.com/) For his Nouveau Rebel Collection, Lee Broom designed the 'Chamber' light. Fashioned from [crystal and Cararra marble](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terra-frammenti), the Chamber light has a lot of offer when it comes to elegant, understated home decor. The main vessel is crystal, while the diffuser inside of it is made from marble; the pendant proves the marble to be surprisingly luminous, a characteristic which is not often associated with the material. The light suffused from the Chamber, which is available in two sizes, is a [soft, ethereal glow](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass) that will gently illuminate any space, as well as decorate it. The pendant can be hung on its own, or in a cluster, for those who prefer a more dramatic design effect. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Translucent Lighting:** Opportunity for creating innovative lighting designs using translucent materials like crystal and marble. - **Marble Illumination:** Disruptive innovation potential in exploring the luminous qualities of marble in lighting products. - **Elegant Lighting Decor:** Growing demand for elegant and understated lighting options for home decor. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Innovative lighting options can be incorporated into interior design projects to create unique and sophisticated spaces. - **Home Decor:** The use of translucent lighting materials like crystal and marble can enhance the aesthetics of home decor. - **Lighting Design:** There is an opportunity to explore the use of marble as a diffuser material in lighting design, creating a soft and ethereal glow. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stone-Inspired Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stone-collection.md) - [Artfully Functional Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chant.md) - [Adaptive Marble Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emit.md) - [Luxurious Futuristic Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futuristic-table-lamp.md) - [Moon-Inspired Column Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/column-lights.md) - [Harmonious Light Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/umami-collection.md) - [Crystal-Celebrating Light Capsule](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/port-light.md) - [Jewel-Inspired Chandelier Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearl-chandelier.md) - [Modern Marble Waste Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sole-lamp.md)
