This is due in large part to the fact that they are more works of art than anything else. They may have been created with chalk, but they could easily be hung alongside famed oil paintings any day. The brainchild of two anonymous artists studying at the Columbus College of Art & Design, the chalkboard messages by Dangerdust are uplifting in at least two big ways. In addition to the encouragement of the words written in chalk, there are stunning accompanying portraits and more abstract illustrations that embody the person quoted. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Motivational Chalkboard Art:** Chalkboard messages infused with artistic visuals offer a fresh twist to traditional motivational posters. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Artists can explore new mediums, like chalk, to create visually engaging and inspiring works of art. - **Interior Design:** Designers can incorporate chalkboard art into spaces to provide visual appeal and motivational messages to their clients. - **Education:** Educators can use chalkboard art as a creative way to motivate and inspire students in the classroom. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Daily Motivational Quotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quotebuzz.md) - [Art-Promoting Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beige-billboards.md) - [Customizable Kids Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface.md) - [Collaborative Campus Beautification Programs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campus-beautification.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Inspirational Quote Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/slideshow/quote-display-device) - [Food-Inspired Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dish-pics.md) - [Custom Inspirational Quotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inspirational-quotes1.md) - [Daily Inspirational Quotes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/free-daily-motivation.md)
