# Chalkboard-Faced Clocks The Chalkboard Clock from NeatoShop Allows You to Style the Face By Kyle Towers | Published 2013-02-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chalkboard-clock References: [neatoshop](http://www.neatoshop.com/product/Chalkboard-Wall-Clock) This Chalkboard Clock from NeatoShop is the ultimate accessory for those who enjoy customization. The face of the clock is a blank canvas that is inviting to go to town on. The best part is, everything can be erased and restarted after each time. The chalkboard clock could also hypothetically become a literal one-day planner. The user has the ability to mark down what exactly is planned for the day by the hour. This will allow you to focus in the moment and live day by day. Besides its functional capabilities, the [minimalist time teller](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trace-line) is actually quite attractive. The white minute and hour hands are striking against the [all-black face](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-desk-clock). The monochromatic colors complement each other brilliantly. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Customizable Clocks:** The trend of customizable clocks presents an opportunity for businesses to offer personalized timepieces that cater to individual preferences. - **Functional Accessories:** The rise of functional accessories like the chalkboard clock opens up innovative possibilities for businesses to create products that serve multiple purposes. - **Minimalist Design:** The growing demand for minimalist design in products, exemplified by the chalkboard clock, creates a space for businesses to create sleek and elegant timepieces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The customizable clock trend provides an opportunity for home decor companies to offer unique and personalized timepieces that enhance the aesthetic of any living space. - **Stationery:** The functional capabilities of the chalkboard clock open up avenues for stationery companies to create products that merge timekeeping and organization. - **Gifts and Novelties:** The appeal of customizable and functional accessories like the chalkboard clock creates a market for gift and novelty companies to offer unique and interactive products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Barebones Retro-Inspired Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloudnola-flip-clock.md) - [Clapperboard-Inspired Desk Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-alarm-clock.md) - [Two-Sided Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-clock.md) - [Chic Modern Cuckoo Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-cuckoo-clock1.md) - [Intentionally Foggy Clock Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kehai-clock.md) - [Dynamic Shadow Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textural-wall-clock.md) - [Linearly Formed Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-clock-concept.md) - [Pixelated Flip-Style Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miniot-klapklok.md) - [Concentric Timezone Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-wall-clock.md)
