# Futuristic Creamsicle Seats The Atomare Omega Chairs are Built for the 21st Century By Vincent Ntumbe | Published 2011-08-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairsforthe21stcentury References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/futuristic-furniture-ultramodern-desk-chair-design-set/) & [atomare](http://atomare.com/) This set of seats, known as the Atomare Omega chairs, is clearly driven by a sleek design and style paired with utmost comfort. This minimalist set carries functional moves that are hidden within its smooth forms, making for the perfect combination between form and function. The Omega is designed for providing additional comfort in spite of its deceptively strong aesthetic. The desk is cleverly designed to provide storage space without having to go through the hassle of a drawer. Visually, the color and shapes reinforces the cut and bends put into the design, while remaining very futuristic. Essentially, the orange and cream colorway may remind some of their childhood, but the Atomare Omega chair set is definitely all grown up. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sleek Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry by incorporating minimalist, functional designs. - **Hidden Functionality:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the product design industry by creating products with hidden features for enhanced user experience. - **Retro-inspired Colorways:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry by incorporating nostalgic color palettes into contemporary designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry to create comfortable, functional seating with a sleek design. - **Product Design:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the product design industry to create products with hidden functionality for improved user experience. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation in the home decor industry to incorporate retro-inspired colorways into modern design aesthetics. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Seating Centerpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-chair.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md) - [Dynamic Futuristic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polarisgo-chair.md) - [Space Travel-Inspired Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospace-seat-spn01.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Chunky Curvaceous Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/001-chair.md) - [Mid-Century Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeph-chair-1.md) - [Adaptable Ergonomic Office Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-moon-chair.md) - [Otherworldly-Inspired Dynamic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmos-chair.md)
