Designed by Gautham Chelvakumar, the 'Infinity' [stool features a design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool) that allows the backrest to be slid upward or downward in order to help provide varying levels of support. What's more, this sliding aesthetic acts as a way to help change the look of the chair to provide a different style when desired. The 'Infinity' chair stool can be customized to the exact level of support that is desired by the sitter. This enables users to either raise or lower the support in order to effectively make the stool a more [comfortable chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/libernovo-omni) than ever. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Versatile Stools:** The 'Infinity' chair stool showcases the trend of stools that offer adjustable features to provide varying levels of support. - **Customizable Furniture:** The 'Infinity' chair stool reflects the trend of customizable furniture, allowing users to personalize the level of comfort and style. - **Sliding Aesthetics:** The 'Infinity' chair stool exemplifies the trend of furniture designs with sliding features, offering a unique way to change the look and functionality of the piece. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The 'Infinity' chair stool presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for the furniture design industry to create more versatile and customizable seating solutions. - **Interior Design:** The trend of versatile and customizable stools like the 'Infinity' chair stool presents an opportunity for interior designers to incorporate unique and functional seating options into their projects. - **Ergonomic Solutions:** The 'Infinity' chair stool demonstrates a disruptive innovation potential for the ergonomic solutions industry by offering adjustable support levels, enhancing comfort for users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Circular Design Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infinity-chair.md) - [Cross Leg-Supported Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/euljiro.md) - [Biodegradable Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ergonomic-stool.md) - [Sloped Movement Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tippi-chair.md) - [Adjustable Position Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/switch2-chair.md) - [Transforming Child Stool Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipflap-childrens-chair.md) - [Shapeshifting Spine-Like Work Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spine-chair.md) - [Active Motion Desk Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-ao-stool.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md)
