Created by CordaRoy, the Convertible Bean Bag Chair Bed works by featuring a [foam-filled mattress](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-collection-1) and a soft plush exterior cover. When the design is desired to be in chair mode, the mattress folds up into the cover and is zipped shut. When a bed is required, the cover can be removed, the mattress unfolded and the filling spread evenly for optimal comfort. With home size getting smaller and many consumers seeking efficient forms of home decor, the Convertible Bean Bag Chair Beds identify a great option for [dual-purpose furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-fabric-sleeper-sofa). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Convertible Furniture:** The Convertible Bean Bag Chair Beds highlight the trend of dual-purpose furniture that offers versatility and space-saving solutions. - **Compact Living:** The Convertible Bean Bag Chair Beds align with the trend of compact living, catering to the needs of consumers in smaller homes or spaces. - **Comfort and Convenience:** The Convertible Bean Bag Chair Beds tap into the trend of providing comfortable and convenient furniture options for guests or multiple uses. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore the disruptive innovation opportunities of creating more convertible pieces that cater to compact living and offer versatile functionality. - **Interior Design:** In the field of interior design, incorporating convertible furniture like the Convertible Bean Bag Chair Beds can enhance space optimization and offer creative solutions for smaller living spaces. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can embrace the convertible furniture trend to provide flexible guest room options that maximize comfort and adapt to changing needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multi-Position Beanbag Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-chair.md) - [Comforting Adaptable Sofa Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bird-reincarnation-3way-sofa-bed.md) - [Expanding Three-in-One Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expandy.md) - [Sleep-Inclusive Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eclipse-capsule.md) - [Space-Saving Convertible Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coddle-luke-sleeper-sofa.md) - [Bohemian Bean Bag Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sage-x-clare-camarillo-bean-bag.md) - [Adventurous Versatile Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flipster-seat.md) - [Lounge Chair Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bagletti-suitcase.md) - [Versatile Modular Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transformer-couch-20.md)
