[CES](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-done-simple) 2012 is upon us, meaning more tech toys like the Wi-Spi. The latest home monitoring systems are always set to debut at CES, but none have the childish charm seen in the Wi-Spi. Part of the CES tech toys, this playful piece is sure to have nosy neighbors everywhere buzzing. The Wi-Spi is a remote-controlled CES tech toy that has a handy little camera attached to it to ensure that one will always remain in the know. A fascinating added bonus here is its ability to upload info to [Facebook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faxo) and [Twitter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-3) in real time. The Wi-Spi is sure to be flying high in the CES tech toys category, so beware nose-pickers, you may be under surveillance. It should also be noted, however, that there is protection against the invasive Wi-Spi to keep privacy under wraps, which is conveniently made by the same company attending CES 2012. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Smart Toy Cameras:** The trend of smart toy cameras with integrated uploading capabilities presents opportunities for innovative home monitoring systems. - **Real-time Social Sharing:** The trend of real-time social sharing in toy cameras creates opportunities for connected devices that seamlessly integrate with popular social media platforms. - **Privacy Protection Solutions:** The trend of privacy protection solutions for smart toy cameras offers opportunities for companies to develop innovative ways to safeguard personal information. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Security:** The home security industry can leverage the trend of smart toy cameras for cutting-edge monitoring systems. - **Social Media:** The social media industry can explore opportunities in the trend of real-time social sharing enabled by toy cameras. - **Privacy Tech:** The privacy tech industry can develop new products and services in response to the trend of privacy protection solutions for smart toy cameras. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Privacy-Focused Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visio-wifi-camera-concept.md) - [Mobile Security Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spexor.md) - [Camera-Equipped Remote Control Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snt-micro-fpv-car.md) - [High-Tech Surveillance Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surveillance-products.md) - [App-Extended Smart Birdfeeders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-birdfeeder.md) - [Upgraded Wireless Sensing Technologies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-sensing-technology.md) - [Social Media Video Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snap-pixy.md) - [Cellular Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cellular-security-cameras.md) - [Decor-Inspired Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-home-camera.md)
