This funky [light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelato-lamp) comes from the mind of designer Chris Haines and is sure to make tummies grumble. The only bad thing about it is that you can’t actually dive your spoon in take a bite. The lamp looks just like a big bowl of cereal. It’s shaped like a [big green bowl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tip-top-glass), and is filled with colorful Fruit Loops and milk. It even has a metal spoon thrown in the mix. The neatest part about the breakfast bowl lamp is that it lights up just from touching the metal spoon. This fun product isn’t out on the market yet, but it’s currently being manufactured so breakfast lovers everywhere can get their hands on it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Breakfast-inspired Home Decor:** An emerging trend in home decor is the use of breakfast-inspired items, like the Cereal Bowl Lamp, to add a playful and whimsical touch to living spaces. - **Functional Novelty Lighting:** There is an increasing demand for light fixtures that not only provide illumination but also serve as conversation starters, as seen in the Cereal Bowl Lamp. - **Interactive Lighting Design:** Interactive lighting fixtures, such as the Cereal Bowl Lamp's feature where it lights up upon touching the metal spoon, are becoming more popular due to their unique and engaging user experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can leverage breakfast-inspired items like the Cereal Bowl Lamp to cater to consumers seeking unconventional and eye-catching decor pieces. - **Lighting Design:** In the lighting design industry, there is an opportunity to create functional novelty lighting products that not only provide illumination but also showcase innovative and playful design elements. - **Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can capitalize on the rising demand for interactive lighting fixtures by developing products that offer unique sensory interactions, such as the Cereal Bowl Lamp's touch-activated feature. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Baked Good-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banana-lamp.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Dripping Faucet-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-light-fixture.md) - [Cereal-Inspired Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cereal-inspired-accessories.md)
