A simple tweak to an everyday, essential product, Center Tape not only ensures that people place their tape as nicely as possible, it also eliminates unnecessary waste since they won't have to put layers of tape on to make up for their poor placement in the beginning. Designed by Hwang Youn Ha and Han Seung Bum, Center Tape is such a brilliant idea, it was awarded a Red Dot Design Concept award in 2011. On a more aesthetic level, Center Tape's use of clean lines will make [packed boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-packaging-solution) less of an eyesore. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Transparent Middle Adhesives:** A trend of using transparent middle adhesives for more precise and aesthetically pleasing packaging. ### Where This Applies - **Packaging Industry:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for packaging companies to develop transparent middle adhesives that enhance the packing experience and minimize waste. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Clamping Stationery Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peleg-design-clamptape.md) - [Edible Food-Safe Adhesives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tastee-tape.md) - [Sleek Rounded Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape.md) - [Tape Crafting Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nano-tape.md) - [Simplified Fastener Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-coded-packaging.md) - [Sustainable Eraser Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maped.md) - [Versatile Home Insulation Tapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seal-draft-and-insulation.md) - [Ultra-Slim Delivery Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flap-it.md) - [Chic Magnetic Tissue Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tent-acme.md)
