The new venture boasts a collection with a quirky and adorable name — 'Fruit Salad.' The offerings come in four distinct versions and are exceptionally easy to install. In addition, the cement tile designs harbor the opportunity for customization as consumers are able to visualize the placement of each hexagonal shape and match or mismatch the colors. The result is a unique pattern that will be exclusive to the space, where Juju Paper's creations are. Fruit Salad boasts "hydraulic pressed handmade cement [...] tiles," which are also [encaustic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-newstalgia). As Avery Thatcher was previously a tile installer, the venture into the world of design-friendly flooring is really no surprise. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Patterned Cement Tile Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop customizable cement tile designs that offer easy installation and unique patterns. - **Visualizing Tile Placement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create technology or tools that allow consumers to visualize and customize the placement of each tile shape and color. - **Encaustic and Handmade Tile:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore new techniques and materials for creating encaustic and handmade cement tiles that are both durable and visually appealing. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Improvement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce innovative products and services that revolutionize the home improvement industry, particularly in the field of flooring and tile installation. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new tools or software applications that aid interior designers in customizing and visualizing tile designs for their clients. - **Construction Materials:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent new sustainable materials and production techniques for manufacturing cement tiles that are both eco-friendly and cost-effective. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Colorful Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frequency-collection.md) - [Mid-Century Chic Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora-collection.md) - [Dynamic Interchangeable Wall Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abyss-wall.md) - [Vibrant Tile Stickers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vinyl-tile-stickers.md) - [Vintage Graphics-Inspired Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile-collections.md) - [Mix-and-Match Wall Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixandmatch-wall-tile.md) - [Performance-Driven Minimalist Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-tile.md) - [Functional Streamlined Ceramic Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uu-tiles-collection.md) - [Waffle-Like Patterned Ceramic Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubik.md)
