# Celebrity Peanut Doppelgangers Steve Casino Creates Peanut Art That Looks Like Celebrities By Andrew Sztein | Published 2013-03-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celebrity-lookalike References: [laughingsquid](http://laughingsquid.com/artist-steve-casino-paints-peanuts-to-look-like-celebrities/) & [stevecasino](http://stevecasino.com/) Everyone loves a good celebrity lookalike, especially when the canvas is nothing more than peanut shells. If you're allergic to nuts or awesome art creations, then you're missing out on Steve Casino's awesome little creations. No celebrity is safe from the confines of Casino's peanut art, whether it's the original cast of Star Trek, The Sex Pistols, James Brown, or Nine Inch Nails front man Trent Reznor. My favorite of Casino's peanut celebrity lookalikes are the classic James Bond and Universal Monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman. If there's any requests from the [peanut gallery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reeses-dipped-peanuts) for some peanut galleries, Casino takes requests with an average four to six week turnaround time at around $500 per face, which includes a glass display cabinet. The peanuts are also coated with polyurethane to ensure a lasting display piece. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Celebrity Lookalike Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the market for personalized art that resembles celebrities using unconventional materials. - **Niche Art Creation:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Capitalize on the demand for unique and niche art creations made from unexpected materials. - **Customized Display Cabinets:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop innovative display solutions tailored for showcasing unconventional art pieces like peanut celebrity lookalikes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Collectibles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Satisfy consumers' desire for one-of-a-kind art and collectible pieces by embracing unconventional mediums and celebrity themes. - **Personalized Gifts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the market for unique and personalized gifts by creating customized art pieces that resemble celebrities using unexpected materials. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce innovative display cabinets and shelves designed specifically for showcasing niche and unconventional art pieces, providing a new way for consumers to showcase their unique collections. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Limited-Edition Peanut Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planters-special-reserve-peanuts.md) - [Limited-Edition Hand-Cooked Peanuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planters-special-reserve.md) - [Self-Referential Peanut Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planters-peanuts.md) - [Peanut-Shaped Mobile Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuttiest-dive-bar.md) - [Hilarious Mixed Nuts Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantersallorone-debate.md) - [Comedic Mascot Roasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-day-commercial.md) - [Snack Artwork Auctions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mischief-by-chester.md) - [Nutty Chocolate Layer Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peanut-butter-bert.md) - [Cheeky Cartoon-Inspired Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peanuts-collections.md)
