# Kinky Cord Hangers This Ceiling Lamp Hook Has Twisted Channels for Twirling Cables Securely By Amelia Roblin | Published 2015-02-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceiling-lamp-hook References: [designspotter](http://www.designspotter.com/product/2015/02/Little-Bishop.html) & [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/antonyrichards/little-bishop-a-ceiling-hook-for-cable-hung-pendan) A simple loop in the overhead plaster is the common means to suspending a pendant light, but this ceiling lamp hook presents a much more imaginative and elegant solution. There's no need to reinforce the slack in the electrical line here, for the cable holds firm when it's gently looped through the [Little Bishop's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-wing-lee) grooves. Antony Richards designed this practical but creative product, choosing poly resin for the material. It's molded like a short post and extends 16 centimeters downwards. The item is rather minimalist with its matte while finish and its largely cylindrical shape, for it looks as if the pendant lamp's cord has been simply wrapped around it. The channels are actually deeper than they look, giving the fixture great security. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Innovative Ceiling Lamp Hooks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new materials and designs for ceiling lamp hooks to provide more secure and aesthetically pleasing solutions. - **Creative Cable Management Solutions:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create unique and functional designs for organizing and securing electrical cables in homes and offices. - **Minimalist Pendant Lamp Designs:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore minimalist designs for pendant lamps that incorporate clever cable securing mechanisms. ### Who This Affects Most - **Lighting Fixtures:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate innovative cable management solutions into lighting fixture designs to enhance aesthetics and functionality. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with designers to develop creative and unique cable management solutions that seamlessly blend with interior design concepts. - **Home Improvement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer innovative ceiling lamp hooks and cable management solutions as part of a comprehensive home improvement product line. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Exquisite Textured Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendant-lamp1.md) - [Organically Shaped Shadow Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp.md) - [Outlet-Equipped Workstation Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avro-pendant-lamp.md) - [Soft Rope Lampshades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hat-collection.md) - [Maximalist Arched Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oblure.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Bakery-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/croissant-pendant-light.md) - [Fishnet-Made Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-mycreation-droplet-lamp.md)
