This French artist using [pallet wrapping plastic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ruffini) to create kick ass chairs, benches, swings, etc… All Cedric Bernadotte needs for his artwork are people who need to take a quick seat and two objects spaced apart. This is an ingenious idea and I’m sure Parisians enjoyed the [impromptu chairs and benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atypical-chair) that were created. Cheers to Cedric Bernadotte and his [cellophane seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shrinx-lounge-chair). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Stretchable Seating:** Cedric Bernadotte's innovative use of pallet wrapping plastic creates stretchable seating solutions. - **Impromptu Furniture:** Bernadotte's creation of chairs and benches using everyday objects allows for impromptu furniture creation. - **Sustainable Design:** The use of pallet wrapping plastic in furniture design promotes sustainability and encourages the use of recycled materials. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Bernadotte's stretchable seating designs have the potential to disrupt the furniture manufacturing industry with their use of unconventional materials. - **Event Planning:** Impromptu furniture creation can revolutionize the event planning industry, allowing for quick and cost-effective seating solutions. - **Environmental Sustainability:** Sustainable design solutions are becoming increasingly important in addressing the environmental impact of various industries, including furniture manufacturing. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Waste-Incorporated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-chairs.md) - [Recycled Dynamic Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair.md) - [Upcycled CD Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-disc-chair.md) - [Wrinkled Plastic Film-Wrapped Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-coenen-1.md) - [Meticulous Paper-Stacked Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paragraphic-in-four-stacks.md) - [Sculptural Public Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-public-seating.md) - [Performance Art Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bio-pop.md) - [Organic Plastic Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crafting-plastic-collection.md) - [Dynamic Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldont-chair.md)
