# Disc Preservation Systems CD Box RS2 Tube is a Standalone CD Recovery and Playback System By Amy Duong | Published 2025-12-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cd-box-rs2-tube References: [project-audio](http://project-audio.com/en/) The CD Box RS2 Tube is a hardware unit designed to read and recover audio data from scratched or damaged compact discs. The system uses an optical pickup with adaptive scanning to extract digital information from discs that standard players struggle to read reliably. Users insert a CD into the [slot-loading mechanism](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cd-player-concept), and the unit processes the disc while displaying status feedback on its built-in interface. Recovered audio files can be saved to connected USB storage, and playback can be routed through [analog or digital audio outputs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/analog-plus). The enclosure combines a minimalist vertical profile with a clear tube section that visually highlights the spinning disc mechanism. Control buttons and indicators are positioned on the front panel for straightforward operation. Interfaces include USB-A for external storage and standard audio outputs for connection to speakers or amplifiers.
