Of course it would take away from the sexy aspect that they're all going for, but perhaps this 'up close and personal' feel will outweigh the idea that, well, sex sells. Designed by Royal College of Art student Hwang Kim, the CCTV Chandelier is a [wearable self-surveillance system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seekr) that honestly makes the user look like a walking mobile. Created to be a [portable video monitoring device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surveillance-products), the CCTV Chandelier records footage with what looks like [four cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-walker-multi-cam) and then streams them to 12 individual televisions so that you can review what was recorded later. On a more practical level, the CCTV Chandelier could provide filmmakers with pretty insane shots. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Wearable Surveillance Tech:** The CCTV Chandelier represents the continued trend in wearable surveillance technology and presents opportunities for further miniaturization and integration with other wearables. - **Real-time Monitoring:** The use of real-time monitoring through CCTV Chandelier creates an opportunity for improved security measures in public spaces such as airports, train stations, and other high traffic areas. - **Industrial Applications of Surveillance Tech:** The CCTV Chandelier demonstrates potential use cases for surveillance technology in industrial settings, such as monitoring of assembly lines, warehouse spaces, and other operations where multiple camera angles are necessary. ### Where This Applies - **Security:** The CCTV Chandelier presents opportunities for integration with existing security systems, including facial recognition technology and crowd analytics. - **Film and Media:** The use of portable wearable cameras such as the CCTV Chandelier offers new opportunities for filmmakers to create unique shots and perspectives. - **Manufacturing:** Surveillance technology such as the CCTV Chandelier can be used in manufacturing industries to monitor equipment, ensure safety compliance, and reduce machinery downtime. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Surveillance Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-surveillance.md) - [Novel Home Security Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-concept.md) - [Privacy-Focused Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visio-wifi-camera-concept.md) - [Attachable Eyewear Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spatial-video-camera.md) - [Portable Camera-Equipped Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilma-lamp.md) - [360-Degree Commercial Security Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rum-camera-and-speaker.md) - [Compact Body Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-body-camera.md) - [Camera-Equipped Exercise Vests](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-urban-eyes-vest.md) - [Street Performer Livestream Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suburb-street-performance-recorder.md)
