CC15 is a California-based denim company that [upcycles reclaimed denim](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repossessed-climb-jeans) in an effort to reduce the vast amount of waste in the apparel industry. Founder Nathan [Bogle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aluminum-wine-bottles) is aiming to have a denim brand that has a minimal carbon footprint, while creating a quality product for consumers.

Bogle was inspired by England's CC41 (Controlled Commodities) revolution in the post World War II era, which focused on the need to [reduce environmental impact and overconsumption](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coachtopia-1). CC15 only uses dead stock denim and pocketing for the materials in its jeans. The production of the CC15 jeans takes place in a 15 mile radius within Los Angeles, California. The upcycled denim jeans are currently only sold in California but Bogle is looking to start national distribution of his product. With CC15, Bogle is showing consumers that it is possible to source and make a quality product without being wasteful.
