While most shadow puppetry requires light in a dark room, this device requires nothing but one’s hand and a bit of imagination. Using a senor plate inside the screen, one can hold their hand up in front, and it will project a glowing shadow in whatever shape one holds up. It’s even possible to hold up some sort of cut-out design ,such as the one in the picture, and it will still cast a bright shadow. This gadget would be a [fun toy for children](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-lasso), and could also be used by artists to turn two-dimensional designs into glowing shapes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Luminescent Shadow Art:** There is an opportunity to create new forms of art using the Catch Memory Light technology to create a new style of luminescent shadow art. - **Interactive Shadow Play:** The Catch Memory Light technology has potential to revolutionize shadow play and can be used to create an interactive form of theater art. - **Innovative Children's Toys:** The Catch Memory Light technology has potential to be developed as an innovative form of children's toys that encourage creative play and learning. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** The Catch Memory Light technology has potential to create a new niche in the art and design industry, giving artists and designers new frontiers to explore in their work. - **Entertainment and Media:** The Catch Memory Light technology could revolutionize the entertainment and media industry by creating new forms of interactive, immersive experiences for audiences. - **Education and Learning:** The Catch Memory Light technology can be developed to be used as a tool for education and learning in classrooms, sparking creativity and encouraging children to learn through play. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Poetic Rippling Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yurameki.md) - [Geometric Nostalgic Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handmaid-table-lamp.md) - [Overhead Light Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xgimi-magic-lamp.md) - [Life-Like 3D Canvases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumino.md) - [Shadow-Inspired Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightware-series.md) - [OLED Display Lantern Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rn-lantern.md) - [Chic Shadow Effect Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suitcase-of-the-light.md) - [Storytelling Projector Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonlite.md) - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md)
