Argentinean photographer Catalina Bartolome embraces the current trend of [faceless photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-shorts) in her work. But rather than use freaky masks (a la [Maison Martin Margiela](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miley-cyrus-maison-margiela)) or Photoshop the face out, she uses a creative art direction to obscure the models' faces from view. This includes using balloons, bowls, curtains, towels and hair that covers the face of the models.

Thanks to my friend, the fabulous [Cowbag](http://www.trendhunter.com/Cowbag), for the tip about Catalina.

**Implications** - Consumers are fascinated by [abstract imagery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alessandro-micheles) as it offers them a form of escapism. Corporations looking to garner consumer attention may also consider utilizing idiosyncratic graphics in their advertising campaigns.
