[Architects for Animals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elizabeth-roberts-architects) is of similar aims, recently holding events in New York City and Los Angeles where it revealed innovative pet housing designs. The awareness-raising initiative asks architects to participate by designing, building and donating a cat shelter. Not only are needy felines helped, but in the process designers also get to showcase their own creativity. At a recent event put on by Architects for Animals benefiting FixNation, cat-loving architect firms got involved including Standard Architecture | Design, DSH Architecture and Abramson Teiger Architects. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 40% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Designer Cat Shelter Designs:** Opportunity for architects to create unique and innovative cat shelters for homeless felines. - **High-end Architectural Solutions for Animal Housing:** Architects focusing on providing luxurious and aesthetically pleasing housing for animals in need. - **Architects for Animals Initiative:** A movement where architects design and donate creative cat shelters to raise awareness for homeless cats. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can explore new opportunities in designing animal housing solutions. - **Pet Care:** Luxury pet care companies can cater to affluent pet owners by offering high-end animal housing options. - **Nonprofit/animal Welfare:** Organizations focused on animal welfare can collaborate with architects to create improved shelter designs for homeless cats. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artful Doghouse Design Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-for-dogs-exhibition.md) - [Feline-Focused Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-tree-house-1.md) - [Vertical Feline Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-tree-house-2.md) - [Cat-Catered Large Japanese Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-cat-tree-house.md) - [Sustainable Portable Cat Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batsy-cat-shelter.md) - [Understated NYC Cat Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meow-parlour.md) - [Cityscape-Like Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocats.md) - [Contemporary Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Cat-Furniture-1.md) - [Pet-Catered Sleek Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/papuk.md)
