The designers at the Belgium based design studio 'Unfold' drew inspiration from a cat wallpaper to complete this massive living room accessory. This huge piece of [feline furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neko-yama) is big enough to completely cover the whole space of a master apartment bedroom so if you were thinking of sharing, think again. This 3.5 meter long kitty took days upon days to complete and is one out of five [cat-themed elements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mew-cat-care-set) in the design studio. This interestingly sized cat couch was built for a sort of roll play reverse between pet and pet owner. Talk about a *cat*astrophe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Giant Animal Furniture:** Designing furniture inspired by animals to create new home decor trends. - **Pet-owner Roleplay:** Encouraging people to take on their pet's role for playful activities or relaxation purposes. - **Customized Living Room Accessories:** Designing unique living room accessories like giant cat couches for pet lovers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Incorporating animal-inspired designs into home furniture to create a new market for pet owners. - **Pet Care:** Providing new playful elements to pet care and toys to enhance their lives with their owners. - **Home Decor:** Creating customized unique living room accessories for homeowners to foster self-expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cat-Friendly Seat Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jingcyuan-tang.md) - [Contemporary Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Cat-Furniture-1.md) - [Modular Cat-Friendly Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quarter-sofa.md) - [Cityscape-Like Cat Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocats.md) - [Functional Furniture Cat Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donarturo-cuba-cat-house.md) - [Customizable Feline Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meow-modular-cat-furniture.md) - [Pyramidal Feline Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-cat-furniture.md) - [Cozy Cat-Friendly Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-single-sofa.md) - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md)
