The pair of cat lovers behind Great Kittens is Paula Siedlecka and William Piper, who have set up a crowdfunding campaign on [Indiegogo](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/great-kitten-world-s-1st-cat-cinema-in-london) in the hopes that others will want to share their vision of being able to cuddle a warm beverage and a kitty in their arms while watching a movie. Beyond sheer novelty and entertainment, Great Kittens promises that there are more benefits to this unusual concept, including reduced stress, lower blood pressure for humans and more exposure for rescue cats who are in need of new homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Cat Cafes:** Opportunity to expand on the concept of cat cafes and create unique experiences for customers. - **Crowdfunding Campaigns:** Potential to utilize crowdfunding platforms to launch innovative and niche business ideas like cat cinemas. - **Animal Therapy:** Growing trend of using animals for therapeutic purposes, such as reducing stress and promoting well-being. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Entertainment:** Introduction of cat cinemas offers an opportunity to create a new form of entertainment. - **Hospitality:** Expansion of the cat cafe concept into cat cinemas provides unique experiences for customers in the hospitality industry. - **Animal Welfare:** Cat cinemas can help raise awareness about animal rescue and provide more exposure for cats in need of adoption. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Understated NYC Cat Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meow-parlour.md) - [Feline-Themed Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gatto-bianco.md) - [Cat Cafe Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cat-cafe-beds.md) - [VR Cat Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vr-cat-experiences.md) - [Big-Screen Cat Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inaba.md) - [Game-Based Pet Adoption Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamebased-pet-adoption-event.md) - [Feline-Hosted Podcasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whiskas-purrcast.md) - [Cat Pet-Care Podcasts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-purrcast.md) - [Cat-Focused Wooden Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tristy-of-the-cats.md)
