First thing I should mention is that the CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 isn't a smartphone, therefore don't expect an iOS or Android software to magically appear. It's a simple clamshell style phone that's designed for outdoor adventurers who requires a tough mobile. The bulky exterior was built to meet military 810G standards, which means if this is dropped, stepped on or rained on, it'll still work just fine. Integrated into the system is the G'zGear software which has a few survival essentials. This includes a compass, pedometer, a walking counter and of course, GPS capability. The CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 may not be as high-tech as an [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugged-iphone-case), but it brings several advantages to the outdoor adventurer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Rugged Mobile Devices:** The CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 showcases the demand for rugged mobile devices that can withstand harsh conditions and still provide basic telecommunication capabilities. - **Outdoor Adventure Technology:** The integration of features like a compass, pedometer, and GPS in the CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 highlights the trend towards incorporating advanced technology into outdoor adventure gear. - **Military-grade Standards:** The CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2's adherence to military 810G standards indicates a growing trend for durable and resilient devices that can withstand extreme environments. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** The rugged mobile device industry is a growing market within the consumer electronics industry, with demand for durable devices that cater to outdoor enthusiasts. - **Outdoor Recreation:** The incorporation of technology features geared towards outdoor adventurers in the CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 highlights the potential for disruption within the outdoor recreation industry, where innovative gadgets can enhance the user experience. - **Military and Defense:** By meeting military 810G standards, devices like the CASIO G'zOne Ravine 2 have the potential to disrupt the military and defense industry by providing durable and reliable communication tools for soldiers in rugged environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Durable Adventurous Smartphone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nokia-xr21.md) - [Hyper-Durable Chinese Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugged-durable-smartphone.md) - [Rugged Lifeproof Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/duraforce-pro-3.md) - [Chunky Yellow Outdoor Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casio-gshock-rangeman-gprh1000.md) - [Rugged Android Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doogee-s100.md) - [Compact Durable Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blackview-n6000.md) - [Affordable Rugged Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugged-smartphone1.md) - [Premium Rugged 5G Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oukitel-wp210.md) - [Ultra-Rugged Enterprise-Ready Cellphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hmd-terra-m.md)
