# Surrounding-Inspired Architectural Homes Gonzalo Rufin Arquitectos Designs the Casa RWO By Amy Duong | Published 2025-06-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-rwo References: [rufinarq.cl](https://rufinarq.cl/) Gonzalo Rufin [Arquitectos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aip-azia-villa) designs the [Casa RWO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-av), which is nestled comfortably into its surroundings just from the [crest of a rugged ridge](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-yuri) in Pupuya, Chile. The narrative behind the design comes from how placement and structure can form a dialogue between the landscape and architecture. Just on the highest point of the site is where the house is found, functioning as a lookout and a place of shelter. The home overlooks panoramic views of the Le Vega de Puputa valley. Each room in the home is also accessed from a walkway, which is a design purposefully integrated in order to create a sense of autonomy and privacy as a whole within the compact floor plan.
