The homes were designed by lead architect buck&simple: doers of stuff with the help of Luigi Rosselli Architects, who was the original architect, and Dangar Barin Smith as the landscape architect. The interior design was tended to by [Atelier Alwill](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-ptios-de-ptalas). The Casa Figurira was named after a special century-old fig tree, which is also heritage-protected. The home's design is the perfect blend between elements of [mid-century Brazilian themes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jf-residence) and modern looks. It was influenced by the idea of opening up the living space for air to easily flow through, resulting in an open-plan environment that merges with the courtyard.
