The main design focus highlights the power of light and the architectural space. The inspiration stems from a visit to the [Paula Rego Museum](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-sofia) by Eduardo Souto de Moura. The architects looked to this structure and wanted to create a space that would encapsulate the same profound tranquility that they experienced in the museum. Casa Emma is more than just a simple home, it is meant to be a retreat that genuinely connects with the soul. It is designed with the intention to bring forth feelings of warmth, calmness, and reflective energy which is channeled through the flow of light.
