# Multifunctional Feline Carriers The 'Carrio' Pet Carrier by Sunghoon Park Changes for Needs By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2019-10-25 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carrio-pet-carrier References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2019/10/25/doubling-as-a-backpack-travel-carrier-and-a-bed-this-is-no-ordinary-pet-carrier-bag/) The 'Carrio' pet carrier has been designed by Sunghoon Park as a multifunctional accessory for cat owners that will help them to keep their furry friend comfortable both in and out of the house. Looking like a conventional albeit chic carrier at first glance, the unit can be shifted into a backpack to let owners easily tote their cat with them while also keeping their hands free. The 'Carrio' pet carrier also shifts into a cat bed when not being used for carrying the pet around, which makes it a triple-function solution that could also help to reduce stress on the cat when being brought out of the house. This is because it can become a mainstay part of the cat's lifestyle instead of a foreign containment unit that only comes out when they're being brought out of their comfort zone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 95% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Multifunctional Feline Carriers:** The 'Carrio' pet carrier by Sunghoon Park combines multiple functions to provide convenience and comfort for both cats and owners. - **Convertible Pet Carriers:** The 'Carrio' pet carrier transforms from a conventional carrier to a backpack and cat bed, catering to different needs and circumstances. - **Stress-reducing Pet Accessories:** The 'Carrio' pet carrier offers a familiar and comfortable space for cats, reducing stress when taking them outside of their comfort zone. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Accessories:** The pet accessories industry can explore new designs and innovations in multifunctional carriers to enhance the convenience and comfort of pet owners. - **Fashion and Lifestyle:** The fashion and lifestyle industry can integrate convertible pet carriers with stylish designs to cater to the needs of pet owners who value both functionality and aesthetics. - **Animal Healthcare:** The animal healthcare industry can consider stress-reducing pet accessories like the 'Carrio' pet carrier to improve the overall well-being of cats and other pets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stool-Equipped Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guacal-pet-carrier.md) - [Portable Pet Shelter Backpacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/travel-habitat.md) - [Stylish Multi-Functional Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-carrier.md) - [Airline-Safe Cat Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porto-cat-carrier.md) - [Three-in-One Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-bed-design.md) - [Small Pet Carrier Enclosures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fenced-traveling-backpack.md) - [Sustainable Portable Cat Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batsy-cat-shelter.md) - [Motorcycle-Friendly Pet Carriers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-carrier.md) - [Multi-Functional Pet Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-pet-beds.md)
